Getaway Trip

Thanks DeAnn for a wonderful getaway! I had a wonderful time with you and the girls. I am so blessed to be part of your family. Below are pictures of our cabin, the beautiful landscape and a few self timer shots of the whole group.

Sukkah time

Deut. 6:6 These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children.
It was such a joy on to watch Paul teach Harrison about the feast of tabernacles. The reason we celebrate this holiday is to remember how God provided for the Israelites in the wilderness. Maybe you are in a wilderness season right now, may hope from this holiday return to you. They built a sukkah using Harrison's camping tent. This worked because it has an opening in the top of the tent to look up. You are to put branches on top of it but not cover it completely. The reason for this is that Jewish tradition believes the Messiah will return in the clouds on this holiday.
We also followed:
Lev. 23-40-41On the first day you are to take choice fruit from the trees, and palm fronds, leafy branches and poplars, and rejoice before the LORD your God for seven days. Celebrate this as a festival to the LORD for seven days each year. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come; celebrate it in the seventh month.
Paul is teaching Harrison the prayers to say before entering the sukkah and how to wave the etrog (choice fruit from Israel) and lulav (which includes the palm, myrtle and willow branches together.
We then celebrated and had dinner together in the sukkah.





Feast of Tabernacles is a holiday of celebration. Here is a video of noah celebrating with his break dancing in the sukkah. Enjoy.. We sure did.

colorado trip

so here is a little window into our family reunion:
our family of four
two parents
one sister, one brother in law, 4 nieces
two aunts, one uncle
3 cousins, 2 cousin in laws and a girlfriend
and 4 2nd cousins
and 2 dogs
so altogether there was 27 of us.

Activities included: Big delicious meals at night with time to hang out together, an old fashion train ride in the rocky mountains, hertiage square (which had a large alpine slide, roller coasters mini golf ect) a rocket ship playground near a nature path, and a clown show for my dad's 60th.
