Heaven is for Real

In the last couple days, I just finished reading "Heaven is for Real" by Todd Burpo. It is a true story about an almost four year old boy, Colton, who had a heavenly encounter while he was being operated on in surgery. His details of Jesus and heaven are amazing for a 3 year old to have. Not to mention, he meets his sister who he never knew he had because his parents had a miscarriage but didn't tell him and his "pop" his dad's grandfather who he never knew on earth.  He also give accurate details of where and what his parents were doing while he was in surgery because he saw them when he was being taken up to heaven. Without going into too much detail, the book is encouraging, hopeful, and refreshing.

On a different note, the book was extrememly hard for me to read since my four year old nephew went to be with the Lord last May. In the book, the little boy's sister's name is even Cassie, which is Wyatt's sister's name too. At times it was good to hear about the things in heaven but on the other hand I wish Wyatt was like this little boy who had a powerful heavenly encounter with the Lord but was still here. I knew it would be a hard read but I decided to go ahead and do it.

One of things I really took away from the book,  was the boys description of Jesus, he really focused on Jesus' eyes. It made me think that somehow when I get to heaven and look into His eyes all my questions will make sense.  For several years, his parents brought different pictures to Colton and would say does this look like him? Colton would tell them what was wrong with the picture. It wasn't until 3 years later that someone told the family about Akiane Kramarik's artwork. She is a young girl who started having heavenly encounters at age 4, and then she would draw them. One thing she really highlighted like Colton did was Jesus' eyes. CNN did a report on her a few year back. Below is the video. When his parents showed Colton the picture, he was silent for a while, and then said, " That's the right one".

New Prayer Page

I have decided to try to write a prayer a day. I will post it on the side bar for that day and then transfer it to my daily prayer page (I might add some extra commentary on the daily prayer page).

On a side note, it seems Hadassah has been watching Cassidy and Noah with their pianos lately. Here is a short video below. (Notice at the end how she starts to get into it with her hands and moving her body)

How much Snow?

For those of you who don't live here, we got almost 15 inches of snow in a 24 hour period. Here is Noah standing next to the pile that appeared after Paul shoveled the driveway.
set up shot-  cute smile

candid shot- it captures the ever moving Noah.

Question? What do you prefer Candid or Set up photos? I go back and forth.

Meme's visit

My mom came to visit last week. It was a good thing, it was not this week since we are in the middle of a blizzard right now. She got to go with me to Hadassah's 9 month check up. She bought Hadassah this super cute cupcake hat from New Zealand. She also got to see Hadassah's new two top teeth as well as watch her walk with her grocery cart and climb the stairs. It is always a blessing when she comes to visit. We love and miss you Meme.

Oh yeah here is my scrapbook page for the week it is of Hadassah at 2 months old. I told you they would be random.
