A poem for Ezekiel

As most of you know my 9 day old my nephew, Ezekiel Blake went to be with the Lord a week ago this morning. Thank you for all your prayers. So many emotions fill me it is hard for me to put them into words so I will try through a poem: It is not elegant but more a combination of random thoughts

Holding you

Waiting for your day to come...

9 months gone by

kissing your mama's belly

and speaking to your little Spirit

Joy overflowing when we got the call

Your mama's in labor and you were on your way

Hurrying to the hospital

I could hardly wait, to see and hold you

You came on my birthday

A special bond I knew we would have

Holding you that night

I couldn't stop smiling because of your beauty

As the days went by as you were home

Our family felt more complete

Holding and enjoying you last Saturday

Is a day I will treasure for the rest of my life

Your eyes so bright

Your smile warm and embracing

Your legs and arms wiggling

Your brown curly hair so soft

Only God knew that in two days

He would be holding you

Looking at your beauty

And admiring this work of His creation

My arms held your little body

on that Monday morning

Your Spirit gone

but your body was still so beautiful

Your Spirit is free

In life eternity

Where one day I will be

And you will run to me

I will hold you again

But until then

Ezekiel, you will be in my heart

Just like my beloved, Art

harrison's b-day

Harrison turned 12 this week. He is growing into such a wonderful young man. We are so proud of him and thankful He is apart of our lives. He started a new school this year, Marantha where Paul went to school. So far he is really enjoying it. We had a birthday party for him on Sunday. He wanted to have a lego space police party. We had a great time laughing as we played space police tag outside. Here are some pictures from it:

Yes the three of us are sister in laws. Yes the three of us live 3 minutes apart. Yes the three of us are really close friends. Yes the three of us have brown hair. Yes the three of us have "S" in us (It is a type in the DISC personality test that is for sensitive). Yes the three of us have big smiles. Yes, the three of us are married to incredible men. Yes the three of us have the privledge to enjoy Mike and DeAnn as our Mom and Dad. But what I want to highlight in this picture is that three of us are all pregant in this picture representing first trimester with me, 2nd trimester with Susan, and 3rd trimester with Leah. What a joy it is to journey through life with these amazing women.

Noah is also excited about the news of having a new baby. He already knows where the baby is. Here is a little video of him:

So to top off my birthday, the Lord gave me a wonderful surprise, my nephew Ezekiel "Zeke" John Blake was born at 11:26pm. He was 9lbs and 2 ounces and 20 inches long. What a gift from God he is. Thank you Jesus. Here is a picture of me and my friends Sam and Cassie who were waiting with the family for the baby. Sam is pointing to me since it was my birthday.
