For those of you who don't live here, we got almost 15 inches of snow in a 24 hour period. Here is Noah standing next to the pile that appeared after Paul shoveled the driveway.

| candid shot- it captures the ever moving Noah. |
Question? What do you prefer Candid or Set up photos? I go back and forth.

I have to say I love set up photos and the way they turn out! But there is nothing like a good candid shot! I think we set up photos because its so hard to capture a real candid shot were the persons eyes aren't closed etc. Especially with children and how quickly they move from one place to the next! =)
The eating snow pic reminds me of what me and the kids tried out this year. Someone posted on facebook that they were going to make snow candy. Have u ever done that? We had fun experimenting and also eating snow was my kids fav!!!
Thanks for posting the cute pics!

Colleen makes a good point. I usually like the set up photos, but on the rare occasion there is a good candid shot I like them too. Bottom line, I like the set up photos. These are great by the way. I can't get over how much snow we've been having. Kind of fun, but kind of done.
I love them all! I think it's a rare eye that can capture people candidly and have it turn out well, but I believe those are the truly beautiful ones. Wedding photos come to mind. It's not the posed ones I want around my house. For instance, the photo of Little Cass dancing with Big Cassie and Sam on their wedding day is priceless.
Wow, you guys have a LOT of snow! And I thought we had so much, with our dumping of 6 or 8 inches!
Noah is getting really big, and totally has an older look than just a few months ago. And I think a great picture is a great picture - whether posed or candid. You never know which shot will be the awesome one...so just keep clickin'!
I have to cast a vote for the candid shot. I really do not enjoy posing for pictures most of the time and I love the capture of a real moment.
What a lil cutie he is!
i like some of both, because the posed ones you can really get the good looks of the person, whereas usually candid ones are of people talking or running or something.
p.s. noah is suuuuper cute!
I'm going for candid, although with kids even "posed" shots are pretty candid. Thankfully, you're great at capturing these moments, as Mom's counter of pictures can attest.
