Last sunday I got to have the privledge to celebrate mother's day with my mom since she is in town. My Dad and Paul watched the kids so my mom and I could have the afternoon together. We decided to go down to the Plaza and then to the Art Museum. It was such a treasure just to get to be together just the two of us. She is such an amazing role model to me of how to be a mother.
On monday we had the birthday bash party for Noah and Hadassah. Thanks to all who came and celebrated with us. It was great to see the Noah and Hadassah's faces as everyone sang happy birthday to them. When the song was done, Hadassah started clapping. In the middle of the singing Noah held Hadassah's hand. It was sweet. Here is a slideshow of some pictures.
The party went well overall. However, I would be lying if I didn't mention that it was emotional for me as I was preparing for the party, during the party and after the party because I kept thinking about how great it would have been to have Wyatt and Zeke there. Their presence is missed daily and big events like this only highlights their absence all the more.
On Tuesday, Meme and Granddaddy took the whole family out to eat dinner and dessert before we had to bring Harrison back to his moms.
On Wednesday, Hadassah threw up twice..., and a dear friend of ours went the hospital and found out that he needs to have open heart surgery.
On Thursday, Our main guest speaker, Dan Juster flew in that afternoon for the weekend. Noah and I got the flu bug that Hadassah had and we threw up several times. My mom was a huge help to the kids and I while we were sick and gave us lots of love.
On Friday, both my parents got the flu bug, along with my niece Cassidy. Paul was able to sleep in the basement and aviod it which was great news since he was able to spend quality time with Dan in one on one time, small group settings and in meetings.
On Saturday we hosted a gathering for people to come hear Dan speak.
Tonight, we had our regular Kingdom Living meeting where Dan spoke to our community. We were so blessed by his presence with us and all that he imparted to us during his visit. Tonight was also a special night because we used the basement which we have been renavating for several months now at my parents house. It was special to have my parents in town and at the meeting when we dedicated the space for the Lord.
