It is five till 1:00. What should I do? Valor is sleeping in his room. Noah is watching a movie and I need to go to Dassah's Valentine's Day party at her Parent's Day Out Program. Should I wake Valor up and load everyone in the car with me? I decide to call Paul first and ask if he could come home for lunch so I can go be with Dassah. Paul comes home. By this time, it is 1:10. The teacher said we could come at 1:00 and do an activity with our child. The whole way to her school, I am hoping that I didn't miss it. When I get there it is 1:20. And guess what, she had not started her activity yet. I made it in time. I got to paint her little hands and make her Valentine card with her. I started to cry on the way home. I was just so thankful that I didn't miss that special moment with Dassah. Since I have been in and out of the hospital for the last two months, I have missed many moments with my kiddos. But today, I didn't miss this one! And to top it off at dinner when Paul asked how the party at school was, Dassah's response was not about the candy, her friends or the games she played instead she said, "My mommy came and painted my hands and made a card with me."
